Pincushion Cactus

Not sure what kind of cactus this is. I need to ask the horticultural students when I get a chance! Then I'll update the title and description!

I'm using this as my final photo for "lines, shapes, and texture."

Assignment expectation is to create photo that clearly documents any combination of value, line, shape, and texture. Student should also use the law of thirds or completely fill picture place with subject to create strong symmetrical composition. The iso, wb, and ev must be set properly and The subject matter must engage the viewers interest.

What a stunning display of all of the elements of art. The repeated pointy shapes move the viewers eye in a various directions. The texture and different directions of cactus create enough variety to engage the viewer interest. Great use of law of thirds to place foreshortened in focal points. A+
